Event Description
Following yet another fantastic year in 2016 the Tonbridge Half Marathon returns for a 7th time in 2017. In 2016, Tonbridge and Leigh residents came out in full force to cheer and support the record 1,000 plus runners that completed the challenging course.
The route uses an accurately measured pan shaped course starting just south of Tonbridge. The route will take runners along closed roads with plenty of crowd support especially through the tranquil village of Leigh, both on your way out and again on the way back before you finish back in the town. There will be four water stations on the course with toilet facilities.
The race is organised jointly by Tonbridge Rotary Club and Tonbridge Lions Club with race management and chip timing services provided by Nice Work.
The race will once again be looking to attract runners of all abilities, from experienced athletes to those new to half marathon running.
All finishers will receive a bespoke medal and goody bag. Souvenir technical t-shirts will also be available to purchase for £6.00.
The venue offers plenty of parking, changing, toilets and baggage., plus a race village including post event massage, medal engraving and refreshment facilities.
All race profits are donated to Compaid, Porchlight and other local charities via the Tonbridge Rotary Club Trust Fund, Registered Charity No. 1039138.
The race attracts over 1000 participants - so an early entry is advised. Entries will open at midnight on New Year’s Eve.
Prizes/trophies are awarded to leading runners and age group winners
The event is run under UK Athletics rules and is a BARR Gold Graded event, awarded for race excellence.

Please enter me for the above event. I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in or attendance to this event. I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. No refunds or transfers allowed under any circumstances.
